Who processes the data
Data controller: StatPoint Research. For any privacy question or request, write to info@betmatchpoint.com.
In short
BetMatchPoint publishes statistical football predictions. No account is needed and we do not ask for your name, email, phone or payment details. We do not sell data, we do not profile you and today we show no advertising.
What data we use and why
Usage statistics. On first launch the app creates a random code in your browser (e.g. 3f9a…) that contains no information about you. Each day you open the app we record this code, the date and whether you opened it from the installed icon. It is only used to count visitors. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring use of the service. Retention: 13 months.
Site statistics. On the presentation page (betmatchpoint.com) we count visits without cookies and without any code: for each visit we record only the date, the page language, the site you came from (e.g. google.com) and whether you tap the app or Telegram buttons. Nothing allows us to recognise you. Retention: 13 months.
Ratings. If you leave a rating, we store the rating, the optional comment and the random code. Please do not write personal data in the comment. Legal basis: consent, given by sending the rating. Retention: 24 months.
Notifications. Only if you turn them on: the technical address your browser provides for notifications (run by Google's, Apple's or Mozilla's push service), the keys used to encrypt messages, the teams you follow and your language. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw by turning notifications off in the app or in your phone settings. The data is deleted when you turn them off or after 12 months without renewal.
Device storage. The app stores on your device (localStorage) the 18+ confirmation, language, favourite teams, filters, your accumulator, the random code and whether you have already rated. This stays on your device and is needed for the app to work: we use no profiling cookies.
Technical data. Like any website, the providers hosting the app may log IP addresses and browser type for security and abuse prevention.
Business and media contact form. If you write to us from the "For business & media" page, we store your name, email, site or company, type of activity and message, only to reply and for a possible business proposal. Legal basis: your request and the consent you give by sending the form. Retention: 24 months, then automatic deletion.
Providers
Netlify (hosts the app and web pages), Supabase (database), jsDelivr (serves a library used by the app) and your browser's push services. Some are based or have servers outside the European Union: transfers rely on GDPR safeguards (standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
Automatically generated content
Team notes (absences, fatigue, coaching changes, motivation) are summarised automatically by an artificial intelligence system from public news, with the source shown under each note. Predictions and probabilities are also calculated automatically by a statistical model, with the addition of an artificial intelligence engine. No personal data of users is sent to the AI for this content.
External links
The Telegram, WhatsApp and X buttons open third-party services, with their own privacy rules.
Advertising
Today there is no advertising in the app or on the pages. If we show ads in the future (for example Google AdSense), we will first ask for your consent with a dedicated notice and update this page.
Age
BetMatchPoint is for adults only (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. The quickest way: in the app open Info → Privacy → Delete my data, which immediately deletes visits, ratings and notification subscription linked to your device. You can also write to info@betmatchpoint.com quoting the device code shown on the same screen. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
Changes
If we change how we use data we will update this page and the date at the top.
